1. Reservation of a Corporate Name

You will do a search on the Secretary of State’s website to see if there are any matches to the name you want. Then you give us your three top choices for a name with this form. Next we will call to see if the name you want is available. Then we will reserve it for you. State fees: $4/name search and $10/name reservation. 2. Pick Which Type of Corporation You Want To Form

California Corporation – General Stock

We recommend you use this form Articles of Incorporation – General Stock (Form ARTS-GS) when filing your Articles of Incorporation. It has been shown to have the least amount of rejections. 3. Pick An Agent For Service of Process in California

Diversified Business Solutions, Inc. can act as your Agent for Service of Process in California. We charge $150 per year for this service.

If using a different agent they must meet the requirements:

1. The individual is over the age of 18. If using another Corporation they must be registered as a 1505 corporation with the state.

2. They must have a physical address in the state of California. They must be willing to have this address be public record.

3. They should be present at the physical address Monday through Friday during normal business hours.

4. They should be reliable and dependable. If they move they are required to file a new Statement of Information with their current address.  (Note: If the Statement of Information is not due this can cost $350 + courier fees.)

4. Pay the Secretary of State fees as well as our fees.

We charge $150 for Expedited 24-Hour service. We charge $125 for Standard 3-6 week service. (Note: We charge 3% on top of your filing fees to cut checks and pay your state fees on your behalf.)
